Special delivery for Bearsden care home workers

F Pizzas of Stewart Street, prepared and delivered some mouthwatering pizzas free of charge last week to Abbotsford House Care Home.

Billy Milligan owner of F Pizzas and nearby Finsbay restaurant, said: “At F pizza we have been struck by the stories of how nursing homes have been affected by Covid-19. We just thought if there was any way we could make the care workers life a bit 
easier then we wanted to do it.”

Paul Sokhi, managing 
director of Morrison Community Care Group, who recently sold nearby Abbotsford House Luxury Suites in Milngavie (now Milngavie Manor) and Kingsacre Luxury Suites in Duntocher, praised Mr Milligan and his team for their kind-hearted gesture.

He said: “I’m delighted local restaurants like Finsbay are offering to thank our care workers like this. The Care Group itself is awarding all staff at Abbotsford a bonus in this month’s pay cycle. I have been humbled and inspired by all our staff who are working round the clock, putting their own lives at risk, to keep some of our most vulnerable members of society safe.”
