On the Sunday, Lenzie mini rugby section (over 100 players) will take part in a demonstration TAG Rugby Tournament. There will also be a barbecue, French Boule competition and live music in the evening.

Colin Stewart, Lenzie Rugby Football Club president, said: “The club follows a code of teamwork, respect, enjoyment, discipline and sportsmanship that stretches back to its origins and, in the spirit of community, the club is organising and hosting its first Mayfest.

“It is destined to become an annual event marking the end of the rugby season and the beginning of the summer for the local community.
