St Joseph’s kids learn from their elders

YOUNGSTERS from St Joseph’s primary school have sewing all stitched up — thanks to older people at Bonnyton House and day centre.

The P6 pupils have been visiting over an eight week period to learn the arts of knitting and sewing, as part of the Stitch in Time pairing scheme which promotes interaction between younger and older generations.

The creative youngsters made and proudly displayed their own soft toys after receiving pearls of wisdom from the experts in the field.

Another East Renfrewshire school group will take up the project later in 2014.
