Stretching a point for charity venture

Staff at the Poundstretchers store in Motherwell proved them selves to be game for a laugh in October 1998 when they dressed up in fancy dress costumes for charity.

The employees took part in various fun activities during a charity day at the store and raised £247 for the National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children.

And their efforts were appreciated by, left to right, local youngsters Christine Brown (10) and sisters Simmone Youngson (12) and eight-year-old Abigail.
