Sweet success for Miss Coco

A CUMBERNAULD model and businesswoman has flown the flag for Lanarkshire’s larder after being chosen to showcase her range of sweet treats at the BBC Good Food Show last month.

Sarah Finlay (25) of Palacerigg has her very own glitter-dusted chocolate range called Miss Coco that’s handmade right here in Cumbernauld.

Now the Glasgow University graduate has struck a deal with a Hamilton-based firm Equi, to make diet-friendly Miss Coco Intense Chocolate gelato - a dessert that’s naturally sweetened with lemongrass and orange.

Sarah said: “Miss Coco is inspired by retro pin-up fashion and is aimed mainly at women. We wanted to do something low-fat.’’

Nor will the brand stop there either. Sarah commented: “We are also thinking about making cakes and perhaps developing our own clothing range too.’’
