Take the lead and help a tremendous cause!

Paws for thought and help a professional dog walker raise funds for a hospital which helped her daughter.

That’s the plea from Lisa McCabe – from Stardust Dog Walking – who is hosting a family fun day this Sunday, September 8, from noon-3pm, at Bishopbriggs Guide Hall, 50 Brackenbrae Avenue.

It’s in aid of Yorkhill Hospital, which helped care for Lisa’s daughter, Caoimhe.

The 22-month-old’s mum and dad are also planning to do a 10-mile walk on September 22 for the charity.

Lisa – from Robroyston – said: “We are doing this because when our little girl was born she was quite ill. It turned out just to be reflux [when milk comes back up into the food pipe] but as we were new parents and she was so tiny we were at our wits end with worry.

“The staff at Yorkhill were just amazing and she made a full recovery, so we want to give something back.”

The fun day will include afternoon tea, entertainment from Heather Ryan from Toddler Sense, face painting, fun portraits for the kids, pop-up shops and a prize raffle.
