Fiona’s husband Raymond sadly died just weeks ago from stomach cancer, aged 61. Raymond spent time in the Marie Curie Hospice, at Huntershill.

Retired midwife Fiona said: “Raymond was loved by all, he was one of lives true gentlemen.

“The hospice is absolutely fantastic. They help with symptom control which makes you feel much better.

“I’ve always been quite keen to do walking events and since our experience I want to support the hospice in whatever way we can.

“I’ve signed up for the walk with two ex-colleagues. I would urge everyone to consider taking part.”
