Teens band together for business

MEARNS Castle high school’s young enterprise team, Trenderprise, are set for success in the area finals in March after support from the local community.

The pupils sold a range of Christmas wristbands with designs and slogans such as Merry Wristmas and Winter Wonderband at the Avenue shopping centre — selling a total of 259 in just one day.

The Young Enterprise scheme is aimed at senior students in secondary schools who have shown an interest in being involved in all aspects associated with running a small business.
