Teens in court over ‘robbery’
TWO teenagers were due to appear in court after a 48-year-old man was allegedly robbed in Cumbernauld as he made his way home in the early hours of Saturday, April 20.
The 16 and 15 year-olds allegeldy approached the victim close to Condorrat Library. The pair pushed him to the ground, it is claimed, before robbing him of his belongings.
A member of the public alerted the police to the incident. Police in Cumbernauld say the two youths were caught a short time later.
They were due to appear at Airdrie Sheriff Court on Monday, April 22.
