Children also had a soft play expedition and a teddy bear’s picnic.

Staff and youngsters from Happy Days are pictured handing over the cheque to the hospice, which is in the grounds of Stobhill Hospital.

Happy Days manager Claire Henderson said: “We took some of the children up to Marie Curie Hospice and they were given a tour.

“The children sang Easter songs to the patients. It was very moving. We sang songs in the dayroom and also went into a couple of rooms where the people were too frail to make it along to the day room.”

Happy Days has nurseries in Kirkintilloch and Bishopbriggs, as well as an out-of-school club at Oxgang Primary.

Youngsters helped to organise all the events as part of their enterprise work and were involved in the tickets, booking the golf club, organising the buffet and more.
