Tesco set to demolish Loch Park, Carluke
WILL Carluke’s new Tesco superstore signal the end for local High Street businesses or help boost general trade in the town centre?
That was the question posed by the Gazette this week, as Tesco – the world’s third largest retailer – moved the bulldozers into Loch Park Stadium for its demolition ahead of building a new 30,000 sq ft store in Shieldhill Road.
A Tesco spokesman this week told the Gazette that it plans for the Carluke store to open this autumn.
