Thanks given for foodbank donations
Women for Independence East Renfrewshire have issued a thanks to all residents who donated to their foodbank stalls in Clarkston, Eaglesham and Thornliebank on Saturday.
A spokeswoman commented: “The response was absolutely incredible and we can’t thank residents enough.
“We were inundated with donations of food, toiletries, and Christmas presents. These have now been passed on to the East Ren Foodbank, who will be able to help many local people.”
The group are now planning a monthly collection, and the next one will take place across East Ren’s town centres on January 24.
