The Avenue awards £250 Community Fund to Young Enterprise Scotland

The Avenue Shopping Centre in Newton Mearns recently awarded Young Enterprise Scotland (Rouken Glen) with their £250 from The Avenue Community Fund.

Young Enterprise Scotland has been inspiring & equipping young people to learn, develop and reach their full potential through enterprise since 1992.

Every year they support around 15,000 young people, from all backgrounds, develop their business knowledge, entrepreneurial skills & ultimately become more employable.

Emily Bennett, Fundraising Manager from Young Enterprise Scotland said: “We will be using this £250 for equipment for our outdoor classroom at our Rouken Glen Training Centre. We are absolutely delighted with the support from The Avenue. The award will make a real difference to our important work with our enterprising young people.”

Michelle McCabe, Centre Manager at The Avenue said: “Our shopping centre is rooted at the centre of our community and we continue to support local groups such as Young Enterprise Scotland on a bi-annual basis. We look forward to hearing more about the classroom improvements as The Avenue is committed to developing East Renfrewshire’s young workforce.”
