However, there is, amazingly, only one Sylvia Russell and her unique dedication to the Royal Burgh has been recognised with her award of the Rotary Club of Lanark’s Citizen of the Year 2011.
Sylvia has decades of service to bodies such as the Lanimers - both as chairman and behind the scenes worker - the Airshow Committee, and the Pony Club behind her. And she shows no signs of slowing down, currently being vice-chairman of the Lanark Development Trust and Inner Wheel, a trustee of Lanark Museum Trust and a member of Play Parks Action Group.
