Three arrested after disturbance on rooftop

Three men were arrested after a disturbance in the Milton area of Glasgow that saw a group of men climb onto the roof of a block of flats.

Emergency services were called out after reports of men behaving suspiciously at a flat in Scaraway Street around 10.20pm on Sunday.

Slates were allegedly thrown onto the street below in the early stages of the bizarre stand off but no one was injured.

Scaraway Street was closed as a result ​and the Scottish Fire & Rescue Service​ also attended​.

The incident ended just before 6am on Monday.

A Police Scotland spokesman, said: “On arrival, a 28-year-old man was arrested and detained. Negotiators and a police helicopter attended. At around 4.30am, a further two men - aged 28 and 35 - were arrested and detained.
