Three Clydesdale actors in new production of Macbeth

Three actors from Clydesdale will be treading the boards in a production of Macbeth in Glasgow this week.

Anne Lothian, from Carluke, will play Lady Macbeth, while Lanark’s Kirsty McDuff will be playing a role perfectly suited for her - as Lady MacDuff!

Simon McCay, also from Lanark, plays the role of Banquo in the production, which is being staged at the Cottier Theatre up until Saturday night.

Anne said: “We didn’t realise until we were at rehearsals that we were all from the same area.”
