Three seriously injured in early morning car crash

The A803 Glasgow Road near the Stables was shut for seven hours after the accident which happened around 5.20am.

Police said the male driver, and a male and female passenger, all in their 20s, suffered serious head and abdominal injuries when their car left the road. Only one vehicle was involved.

All three were taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary where their latest condition has been described as “serious.”

A police spokesman at Kirkintilloch said inquiries were continuing into the accident and appealed for witnesses.
