Tipper truck driver stopped by police and drivers charged for speeding in rain

TRAFFIC police pulled over a trucker and charged him with dangerous driving last week.

The 51-year-old man was stopped in his tipper truck by police in Balmore Road, Balmore, at around 3.40pm on Tuesday, July 3.

Meanwhile, three drivers were charged with dangerous driving within minutes of each other last week.

The men – aged 31, 52 and 67 – were pulled over seperately by police for allegedly driving too fast in heavy rain on Crosshill Road, Lenzie, at around 6pm on Wednesday, July 4.
