Tourism Minister Jim Mather visits Skirling House

During the visit Mr Mather and fellow delegates sampled some of Skirling House's many home-grown treats.

The Minister commended owners Bob and Isobel Hunter for their dedication to growing, cooking and serving authentic local produce.

And he praised them for recognising the contribution these efforts were making to Scotland's Year of Food and Drink.

Isobel said: "It's nice to be recognised for the service we are providing. We started out here 16 years ago and we have a very loyal customer base."

Mr Mather said: "By championing iconic local produce, Skirling House is contributing to an industry-wide focus on attracting visitors from around the world to sample a taste of Scotland during our Year of Food and Drink."
