Transport campaigners unhappy over Clydesdale bus routes

Janet Moxley of Stand Up For Our Buses was concerned at the sudden change of service operator from MacEwans to Stagecoach on November 25.

It was alleged that McEwans had been in breach of its service contract for the 100/1/2/3 route.

Janet said: “It is unacceptable that yet again the travelling public in Clydesdale should be subjected to changes to important bus services at short notice.

“Although I suppose there has been some improvement this time as 60 hours notice was given and the change was publicised via small, barely legible stickers on bus stops along the route.

“We are concerned that SPT do not seem to be able to manage this service in a coherent way.”
