Free bus travel for under 19s in East Dunbartonshire

The Scottish Government has confirmed that it will introduce the scheme in 2021, thanks to the budget deal struck with the Scottish Greens last year.

Scottish Greens MSP Ross Greer, who lives in Bearsden, said: “Free bus travel for under 19s will be transformational, benefiting young people and their families in East Dunbartonshire and across Scotland as we leave the dark days of this pandemic behind.

"I’m proud it has come as a direct result of the Scottish Greens' constructive work in Parliament. This scheme will tackle inequality and the climate emergency.
