Inspector Shaun Ramsay at Maryhill Police Office, said today: “Brendan has been dealing with a couple of personal issues recently, however, he has never been missing before or been out of contact with his family for any length of time. Hence our concern for him.

“We know that he has some money and a mobile phone with him but the phone isn’t switched on.

“Officers have been checking CCTV and searching around his home and where he likes to visit - usually the Byres Road area where he is well-known in a few of the pubs as well as a couple of other bars at the top of Hope St in Glasgow City Centre.

“There have been a one or two unconfirmed sightings of him yesterday in Glasgow City Centre, however, we would still appeal to anyone who knows him or who knows where he is to get in touch.

“Also, if you have seen someone matching his description, then please give police a call.

“I would also appeal to Brendan himself to either call police to let us know he is okay, or return to his family who are very worried and upset.”

Anyone with information about Brendan’s whereabouts is asked to contact officers at Maryhill Police Office on 101.
