Road restrictions on main road in Giffnock to allow for gas works

Roadworks are due to be in place on a main road in Giffnock from today (Monday, October 21) to allow for gas network upgrade work to be carried out.

SGN is carrying out gas network upgrade work in Giffnock.

Work is being carried out at the A77 Fenwick Road over a 10-week period.

SGN says it is upgrading the gas network to ensure local homes and businesses can continue to enjoy a safe and reliable gas supply.

From October 21, the company will be working in Fenwick Road, between Park Road and Orchard Drive, for four weeks with a lane closure in place for safety. Some parking will also be suspended.

From November 18, SGN continue in Fenwick Road for six weeks, between Orchard DRive and Morrisons. A lane closure will be needed and three-way lights required at Fenwick Road’s junction with Dalmeny Avenue.
