Triplet joy for Cumbernauld family

They say that three’s a crowd, but for the happy Hackett family it’s a crowd they are overjoyed with having.

Only three weeks ago babies Dylan, Dean and Layla came into the world leaving their mum, Dawn (28) and dad, Kevin (29) a mechanic, delighted, but with their hands full.

“It was at about six weeks in that we found out that I would be having triplets. I had been on a mild fertility drug, but I guess it worked a lot better than expected,” stay-at-home-mum Dawn said.

“It wasn’t too hard going carrying them, it was more the fact that I got out of breath very quickly. I was basically house bound for a while because if I wanted to go out it had to be with other people in case something happened.”

At the moment three is certainly the magic number in the Hackett’s Ravenswood household as the three, three-week-old babies join three-year-old big sister Natalie.
