U-pond my soul!

CUMBERNAULD is set to benefit from a £5.8million project aimed at clearing up the area’s fresh water supply.

The plans have been pioneered by Scottish Water, with consultations taking place with North Lanarkshire Council and groups such as the Scottish Wildlife Trust.

It will see innovative green pond technology installed in Cumbernauld with the aim of enhancing water quality in the Red Burn, which flows through Cumbernauld Glen.
