Unique waste water plant opened at Cartland

SCOTTISH Water has splashed out on a unique facility at the newly-opened waste water site serving Cartland.

A total of £1.8 million was spent by the company installing a zero/low carbon emission facility aimed at protecting the environment of the Brocklinn Burn.

“This eco-friendly plant is the first one of its kind in Scotland,” said Scottish Water construction manager Paul Sharp.
