Warming move for Leadhills firefighters

Conditions should soon be improving for the intrepid volunteers who are first to answer a fire call at Leadhills – and their vehicle.

Strathclyde Fire and Rescue Service is finalising plans to lease a garage in the village to provide shelter for the emergency Land Rover and create a little base where the volunteers can at least have a shower and a cup of coffee.
