A Lenzie woman had her car stolen on Sunday, June 28. The thief struck while she enjoyed a swim.

She said on a facebook page: “All on camera. See him getting into my locker and then clicking my key all round car park until my car opens. Then he drives off. Low life. Haven’t even had my lovely, hard-worked for car for a year. Total scum.”

Police said they were following a positive line of inquiry. They are asking people to report anything suspicious to staff.

Mark Grant, general manager of East Dunbartonshire Leisure and Culture Trust, said: “We are aware of the incident and are working with police regarding the theft. Ensuring the safety and security of our customers and their belongings is a priority for the trust in all its premises.

“Additional lockers have already been installed at reception in the Leisuredrome which are covered by CCTV to cater for the security of car keys and other valuables.”

He asked customers who see anything suspicious to report it to a member of staff.
