Maryhill Harriers have agreed to help with the one mile fun run again this year which is open to adults and children and proved to be very popular last year. Registration for the run is at 11am and it sets off from Wheatfield Road at 11.30am (baby athletes in prams also welcome).

The Gala day, based at Westerton Community Hall on Maxwell Avenue, Bearsden, will also include a toddler zone with face painting, toys and bsicuit decorating, craft fair, the Great Gala Bake Off, henna tattoos, donkey rides, fun photo booth, archery, a lego exhibitor, Nerf gun wars, a children’s magician, the animal man and a tearoom in the Brownie hut.

Dogs are part of the family too, so take your four-legged friend along for some gala day fun on the dog agility obstacle course and fastest recall test.

Entry to the gala is free, with wristbands costing £5 for unlimited access to the inflatables and most other activities (reduced rate for under 3s).

The full list of stalls and activities is yet to be confirmed but you can keep up to date with what’s going on by following their facebook page www.westertonvillage.org.uk or email [email protected]
