Win a golf club membership

THE News and Chronicle has teamed up with Kilsyth Lennox Golf Club to allow our readers the chance to scoop a full year’s membership.

What’s more, they are currently offering a free junior or youth membership with every full membership taken.

Nestled in the hills overlooking Kilsyth, the club boasts one of Central Scotland’s most attractive courses.

The club was originally founded in 1899 in Balmalloch, but has been at its present location since 1905. The original clubhouse, the “wee green hut”, was transported by horse and cart. Over the years the course gradually evolved with countless changes, becoming a full 18 hole course in 1992, the year before the clubhouse was utterly destroyed in a fire.

Despite that severe setback, the community spirit of the members saw them carry on undeterred and the present clubhouse was completed in 1995. A lottery grant led to yet more redesign and refinement to the course layout by the renowned American links designer Rocky Roquemore.

Today, after all this evolution Kilsyth Lennox boasts a beautiful course and excellent hospitality, from Burns Suppers to Christmas parties.

Currently there are a number of benefits available for new members, including free Golf until 31st December 2011, an easy payment plan from as little as £46 per month, free one-year junior/youth membership with every full membership taken. Also, if you join the club now you won’t have to start paying until January.
