Liz Dean-Stevens, head of fundraising, NSPCC Scotland asked supporters to wear their brightest and warmest bobble hats this winter, post photos online and donate £4 by texting BOBBLE to 70744.

People can also show their support for ChildLine by knitting and selling their own bobble hats and showing them off using #bobblehatheroes on social media,” she said.

‘‘For many children, this season is a happy time but, for others, it can be lonely and upsetting.”
