Woman arrested on racial abuse allegation

Police made a number of arrests following a series of incidents over the weekend, including an allegation of racial abuse.

A 53-year-old woman was arrested on Saturday and held in custody for allegations of breach of the peace and being racially abusive towards police officers at Back O’Loch Road, Kirkintilloch.

On the same day, a 40-year-old man was arrested for allegedly driving whilst under the influence of drink at Stathkelvin Retail Park in Bishopbriggs.

Meanwhile, a 28-year-old man was arrested on Sunday after an alleged domestic assault at Burns Court, Kirkintilloch.
