Woman taken to hospital after road crash at Milngavie this afternoon

Police were called out to the accident involving a car and a van off North Campbell Avenue around 2.40pm today (Tuesday, July 21).

Officers said the female driver of the car does not appear to have been seriously injured but has been taken to hospital as a precaution.

The road has been closed at the junction with Craigdhu Road but is expected to reopen shortly.

A police spokesperson said the driver of the van has been reported to the procurator fiscal in connection with a charge of alleged careless driving.
