Women terrified by knife-armed drugs robber

A knife-armed man threatened two women at an Ibrox pharmacy before fleeing with a haul of prescription drugs.

Now police are urging anyone with information about the Friday tea-time raid to come forward.

The thug struck at Gilbride’s Pharmacy on Copeland Road at 5.50pm, brandishing a knife and threatening women employees aged 48 and 33.

Police say he made off with “a significant quantity” of drugs.

Neither woman was injured but both have been left very upset by the incident.

The suspect is white, 6 ft, about 40 years of age and had a Scottish accent.

He wore a black jacket, a black hooded top with the hood over his face and blue jeans.

He ran off along Copland Road towards Ibrox Underground after the robbery.
