Work to start on refurbishing Lanark Loch toilets

IT looks like a desperate need for visitors to Lanark Loch is about to be met at last.

As reported in the the Gazette in recent months, the public toilet block at Lanark’s busiest visitor attraction has now been closed for the past few years, awaiting repairs.

This has led to repeated calls to South Lanarkshire Council to get the renovations done and the toilets re-opened on the grounds that Lanark is losing much-needed tourism and visitor income from the lack of even this most basic of facilities.
