You know where you are? You’re in the jungle baby...

During the late 80s and early 90s, Guns ‘N’ Roses were at the peak of their career and more than lived up to their reputation as “the most dangerous band in the world”.

Paying tribute to the rock heavyweights, Gunz n Rozes Scotland deliver an authentic performance with songs from the notorious 1987-1993 era that fans associate most with.

The band was formed after guitarist PC had an epiphany one night. Already doing guitar duties for a local band, after noticing the crowd’s reaction to the classic Guns ‘N’ Roses song ‘Sweet Child ‘O Mine. He wondered if there would be any interest in forming a Guns N Roses tribute band in Scotland – as to his knowledge there didn’t seem to currently be one.

He reached out to Craig Hughes, who was a former band member of PCs and they both mulled over the idea. They decided that they should at least give it a go. Recruiting the rest of the band – Gary Scott, Corey Alvaro and Gary Kerr – and Gunz n Rozes Scotland were born.

Craig Hughes, guitarist, said: “It has taken nearly three years to get the band in the position that we are in today. It was quiet a slog in the beginning but it has slowly gathered pace and now it’s taken on a life of its own.

Playing a full 90 minute set, the audience can expect to hear all the hits including ‘Welcome to the Jungle’, ‘November Rain’, ‘Paradise City’, and of course, ‘Sweet Child O’ Mine’.

“It’s that song that really gets the crowd going,” Craig continued. “Although the solos in ‘November Rain’ are hard to beat. There is nothing better than playing live to an audience. We see the stay overs as a little holiday and it is a great way for the band to bond. Next year we are playing all over Scotland including Fraserburgh, Aberdeen, Glasgow and Edinburgh, and we are expecting to hit a few festivals in the summer too.

“We aim to replicate the same aural and visual experience that you’d expect at a Guns ‘N’ Roses concert. We mix the high energy songs with the ballads within our set and the crowd always sing their hearts out.”

So pull on your ripped denims and leather jackets and join Gunz n Rozes Scotland for a night of hard rock nostalgia.
