Your vote could help centre win fitness gong

Leisure chiefs have urged residents to get online and vote after a local leisure centre was shortlisted for a major award.

The Leisuredrome, in Bishopbriggs, has been nominated for a prestigious Scottish Fitness Award in the category of ‘Local Authority/Trust Gym of the Year’.

Votes can be cast until August 30 and the winners will be announced at the Scottish Fitness Awards at Glasgow’s SECC during the Scottish Food & Nutrition Expo the following day.

East Dunbartonshire Leisure and Culture Trust chair Scott Hill said that to win the award would be “really special”.
