You’re invited to historic church bash in Cumbernauld Village

Cumbernauld’s oldest church will be staging the social highlight of the year on Saturday, May 31.

The manse grounds of Cumbernauld Old Parish Church in Cumbernauld Village will be thrown open for the annual summer fete.

The gates will be open at 1.30pm.

Then a packed programme of fun activities will get underway.

These include face-painting, live music, a barbecue stand with hot dogs and hamburgers, home baking and plants for sale.

There will even be live music to add to the party atmosphere.

Minister Catriona Ogilvie said: “It’s the social event of the year.

“ We look forward to seeing everyone on the day and hope that you will come along and support us,’’ she added.

Entry to the fete is just £1 and accompanied children will be admitted for free.
