1st Condorrat BB holds diamond jubilee party

FIRST Condorrat Boys’ Brigade held a party to mark the Queen’s diamond jubilee recently.

Group leader Elizabeth Weir said: “We decided to have a fairly early party as the older boys have their prelims coming up in April and we finish our session on the 14th of May.”

The boys had a lot of fun, playing various games and holding a singalong. The games included a team welly boot race, a space hopper race, and assorted ball ganes.

They also baked a special jubilee cake and decked the halls of the Parish Church with brightly coloured bunting.

Elizabeth added: “About 50 boys took part. They were well behaved and nobody got injured!

“I thank Scott Corbett and Gordon Laird, who are both 16 and doing their Queen’s Badge, the highest honour in the Boys Brigade. They were a big help with organising this event and making sure it was a success.”
