A South Lanarkshire takeaway has been handed a new "improvement required" food hygiene rating.

Madras Cottage & Sweet Craving, a takeaway at 2 Station Road, Blantyre, Glasgow was given the score after assessment on February 22, the Food Standards Agency's website shows.

It means that of South Lanarkshire's 149 takeaways with ratings, 97 (65%) have pass ratings and 52 (35%) require improvement.
