The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have announced the birth of a baby boy, with Prince Harry and Meghan both reportedly delighted with the baby's arrival.
The Duchess went into labour overnight, with the baby delivered at 5.26am this morning (Monday 6 May) weighing 7lbs 3oz, and Prince Harry was present for the birth.

Buckingham Palace said that the extended royal family had been informed of the birth.
An official statement read, "The Queen, the Duke of Edinburgh, the Prince of Wales, the Duchess of Cornwall, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Lady Jane Fellowes, Lady Sarah McCorquodale and Earl Spencer have been informed and are delighted with the news.
"The duchess's mother, Doria Ragland, who is overjoyed by the arrival of her first grandchild, is with their Royal Highnesses at Frogmore Cottage."
Seventh in line
The child is the seventh in line to the throne, behind the Prince of Wales, the Duke of Cambridge and his children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, followed by Prince Harry and the newborn.

Hide AdThe baby is the Queen's eighth great-grandchild and has dual citizenship, automatically gaining US citizenship through Meghan at birth.
James favourite for the name
Prince Harry spoke to press after the birth and said the baby was slightly overdue and that another announcement will be made in two days time.
He added, "I haven't been at many births. This is definitely my first birth. It was amazing, absolutely incredible, and, as I said, I'm so incredibly proud of my wife.
"As every father and parent will ever say, you know, your baby is absolutely amazing, but this little thing is absolutely to-die-for, so I'm just over the moon."

Hide AdThe odds for the name of the baby show that James and Arthur are considered most likely by bookmakers of odds of on average 6/1.
Philip, Alexander, Albert, Charles and Oliver are also deemed to be likely options and all below 20/1, with Henry at around 25/1.
