Full points for United

CUMBERNAULD United secured three great league points at Saracen Park on Saturday.

In a fiercely contested encounter the Cumbernauld boys survived some severe Ashfield pressure in the closing minutes to delight the new management team, and their faithful supporters, and collect precious points.

Manager Danny Drew was naturally elated with this victory in his first game in charge and said: “I’m delighted to be with Cumbernauld United and couldn’t have asked for any more from the players today!”

United play Shotts Bon Accord at Guy’s Meadow on Saturday, kick off 2pm, when they will be looking to add to their points total, and make progress in this very competitive league. Come along and give your local team your support.
