19 in week three of snooker league

NINETEEN players turned up to the Red Triangle on Sunday for week three on the Six Week League. There were three prelim matches. Central FM’s Joe Kilday lost to Paul Hunter 2-0, week one winner John Malcolm lost to Martyn Shields 2-0 and Stevie McMillan played great snooker and beat Dougie Fraser 2-1.

In the top half of the last 16 draw Paul Murphy continued to play well and beat club champion Mark Caulfield 2-0. Mark Boyle was in sensational form all night and against Garry Coats had breaks of 121 and 61 to see him win 2-0. Willie Scott was beaten convincingly by John Dempster and Martyn Shields overcame the Carbrain Cueman Davie Hutchison 2-1.
