Afterburner Graham Turner wins eighth straight MMA fight

AFTERBURNER Graham Turner produced a very hot performance to keep his impressive eight-fight Mixed Martial Arts winning streak going.

He produced a first round technical knockout over highly regarded Slovenian MMA fighter MIha Utrosa in Stirling.

Utrosa, boasting a 6-1 professional record and a 70 fight amateur record, was seen by many people as favourite to win the international super fight, having recently enjoyed a spectacular flying knee knockout win.

But Turner, Scotland's most experienced professional MMA fighter despite being only 22-years-old, had other ideas and stopped Utrosa with a barrage of strikes that overpowered the tough Slovenian.

Afterburner's coach at Lanark MMA Club, James Doolan — a three-time British MMA champion — said: "The performance that Graham put in was his best to date.

"He has only been fighting for three years, and now has a professional record of 17 wins, five losses and one draw."
