Ali Crawford hopes to sample Hampden Roar

CARLUKE football ace Ali Crawford reckons that his Hamilton Accies side has been given the best possible chance of clinching a Scottish Cup semi-final place at Hampden.

The quarter-final draw handed Accies a home tie against fellow Division 1 outfit Falkirk on Saturday, March 2, and the 21-year-old midfielder couldn’t be happier.

“We couldn’t have asked for a better draw,” Ali said.

“It is the first time in five or six years that Accies have reached the quarter-finals so we will treat this game as a cup final.

“The main danger to us will be Falkirk’s big boy up front – Lyle Taylor – who has scored 22 goals this season.

“Although Falkirk have been a bit of a bogey team for us, getting a fellow first division team at home gives us a great chance of getting to the semis at Hampden.”
