Andy Hartness wins Carluke Rovers jackpot

ONE of the biggest jackpots ever landed in Carluke Rovers’ Lucky Numbers draw has been won by Andy Hartness, the grandfather of a former Rovers player.

Andy (65), whose four selected numbers were among the first six picked out in a recent National Lottery draw, received a £5500 cheque from Rovers chairman Malky Black at the club’s John Cumming Stadium.

“Andy was absolutely delighted to win,” said Malky.

“His wife has all the money spent already!

“The jackpot was so high because it had gone unclaimed for two years.

“I think that £6000 was the biggest amount previously won in Rovers Lucky Numbers draws.

“Andy has given the club a £100 donation which is very much appreciated by Carluke Rovers.”

Malky said that Rovers have now introduced an additional Lucky Numbers draw where entrants pick three numbers and receive £10 if these are among the first six picked out in a lottery draw.
