Biggar RC bulldoze Kelso

BIGGAR Rugby Club made it three wins in a row, when they triumphed 11-6 under the floodlights at Kelso in last Friday night's Premier 2 clash.

The victory – accomplished thanks to a Jason Kelly try and two Craig Parker penalties – moved Biggar onto 25 points.

This is a massive eight points clear of Kirkcaldy, who occupy second bottom place in the relegation zone.

"I was very pleased to win at a difficult place," said Biggar head coach Ants Posa.

"Kelso were expecting to roll us over. They had stated beforehand about how they were targetting this game for a win, and they'd also signed a new stand-off with a reputation for being top drawer.

"But we were really disciplined throughout the game and managed to win."
