BMX action at Cumbernauld

Around 150 BMX riders and enthusiasts from all over Scotland will converge on Cumbernauld this weekend for the Scottish Open.

The event is being hosted by the Cumbernauld Centurions, the resident BMX race club at Broadwood Stadium.

The competition will take place at the track next to the stadium on Saturday and Sunday. There will be practice sessions on Saturday from 2pm to 5pm and Sunday from 10am to noon with the racing itself taking place on Sunday from 12.30pm onwards.

For the past two years the club has also hosted the British National Cycling Weekend which takes place at the track in May and attracts over 650 riders from all over the UK.
