Boxer Scott Forrest out of Commonwealth Games
THERE was utter despair for Forth boxer Scott Forrest on Sunday night, as he crashed out of the Commonwealth Games boxing competition at Glasgow’s SECC.
Much fancied Forrest (19) was outfought by 6ft 3’ New Zealand opponent David Nkiya, who landed a unanimous points victory in their 81kg men’s light heavyweight last 16 clash to disappoint thousands of Scottish fans including a large group of Scott’s family and friends.
“It was devastating for Scott to lose by three rounds to zero,” said his dad Jimmy.
