Scott Forrest in the ring for Commonwealth Games

THE father of Forth boxing ace Scott Forrest is “100 per cent confident” that his boy will qualify for the Scotland squad competing at next year’s Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.

Jimmy Forrest has also praised the achievements of Scott (19), of Longdales, in winning Scottish national titles at schoolboy, junior, youth (twice) and senior levels in each of the past five years.

“I think Scott is an odds-on favourite to qualify for the 2014 Commonwealth Games,” Jimmy said.
